Sebenza Midlength
Built by York Surf in Muizenberg. The York Kook has a soft but thinner rail and less volume than most mid-lengths. Slightly less nose width and more kick in the tail make it a gliding and slicing machine. A double concave to vee, running through the 2 + 1 setup, means you can ride this model in anywhere from 2ft to 8ft surf, but it does like a bit more power. Great for a shortboarder looking to get more waves but still shred or a minimal rider wanting more maneuverability.
The simple graphic design is inspired by Ndebele walls and related to concepts of tribal identification. Today, many consider these designs to be modernist and common in African design, but in actual fact they predate modernism by many thousands of years.
